   Thanks, this is what (finally) did work:   
      
   --audio-device=alsa/hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=0   
      
   even though the card is device 1 but the   
   first (0) NVidia card.   
      
   No amount of experimentation would have given   
   me that.
