   Is your kernel (uname -r) the updated kernel?   
   If not - elilo or grub? Try (as root)   
   elilo: use pkgtool/setup to update initrd and eliloconfig   
   grub: try grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg to update
