|    CUPS and SSL problems    |

From: lsodgf0@home.net.it              I upgraded the server in my lan to a new machine and installed in it the       Slackware64-15.0 with latest patches.       All was running OK but 'cups'.              Since the server doesn't have graphic support I can't administer it from       remote because I can't setup encryption. I was able to see the web       interface but only for displaying print queues. Any attempt to enter       the admin pages causes the browser to ask for encryption but cups can't       create the certificates.              I started using the configuration from previous installation (14.2 used       with encryption) but it didn't work so I reinstalled the cupsd package       from scratch (and the patches) testing a few changes to the       configuration with no result. Any attempt to use encryption, even from       the command line, results in the error (2 entries for each attempt):              E [04/Dec/2022:11:53:58 +0100] [Client 125] Unable to encrypt       connection: Unable to create server credentials.       E [04/Dec/2022:11:53:58 +0100] [Client 126] Unable to encrypt       connection: Unable to create server credentials.              Has anybody succeeded in using encryption with cups? Is it a problem in       my configurations?              Thank in advance for any help in identifying the problem!              Ciao       Giovanni       --        A computer is like an air conditioner,        it stops working when you open Windows.        < http://giovanni.homelinux.net/ >              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
