   I can't say why it doesn't work to umount nfs drives mounted with the   
   user option. However, I might have a better solution:   
      
   Make /etc/rc.d/rc.autofs executable (and run it or reboot) and you will   
   get access to your NFS servers at places like /net/bogus/ . The   
   automounter will automaticallu mount the directories when needed and   
   umount them some time after they have not been used.
