   That's what I've always had.

   (For the record, LILO wanted that number in hex (0x31B == 795) when   
   using the LILO menu.)   
      
   That worked to the extent that reboot was successfull but made no   
   difference to the problem that the virtual consoles hide the top two   
   lines of text behind a stripe of snow.
