   Thanks for repsonding Henrik.   
      
   I will create a backup partition running 15.0,   
   then do the upgrade and follow that with a new   
   initrd and rerun lilo as suggested. I have been   
   busy getting other things in order before that   
   experiment.   
      
   I didn't think of that because other systems   
   I use run grub and lilo was irrelevant.
