libreoffice + openjdk

   I've just installed libreoffice 24.2.4 and openjdk 8 from   
   ~alien/slackbuilds and run fc-cache -f -v on my virtual (vbox)   
   slackware-current install.   
   However, the Paragrah styles, Font name and Font size boxes are empty in   
   Writer and Calc. Also name and input line in calc.   
   Anyone any ideas as to why?
