   You've certainly streamlined things well for your own workflow, but   
   for what it's worth, what you're describing is indeed something that   
   cfengine is good at: "this is a $foo server, so $bar configurations   
   must be addressed."  If what you're already doing works as well as   
   you describe, though, I certainly wouldn't be looking to replace it   
   either ...
