Just for kicks, have you tried deleting       /var/tmp/kdecache-grinch?              Don't worry about deleting something valuable with it if you do, because       it'll be rebuilt upon the next login. However, I have found that in       /some/ cases, it may remedy certain corruption.              > I am not a newbie but I am no Linux expert either, how could I debug       > this issue and perhaps contribute in some small way to fixing it ?              Try by deleting the cache first, as I suggested above. Then at least       we'll know whether that was the root of the problem or not.              If the problem still persists, then try updating the system to the       latest stable versions of all packages, and add a few mirrors to your       package manager. It is possible that, during an earlier update, only       part of the packages were downloaded due to a glitch at one of the repo       mirrors. I've had a similar issue here with Google Chrome earlier this       week.              If the problem still persists after all of the above, then my best       advice would be that you file a bug report, because this seems like a       serious enough issue for the package wranglers to look into.              --       = Aragorn =              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
