Dolphin has become the default file       manager in Plasma 5, and Konqueror's web browser code is also no longer       being developed. The KDE team plans on dropping it altogether in the       near future.              It's a pity ─ I too liked Konqueror, and especially for FTP ─ but that's       how it is. :-/              > I liked to use knode as a news reader, but alsa i can't see that going       > anyware. I am glade i had Thunderbird setup, all thou knode does a       > better job.              I too am a KNode fan ─ I've been using it ever since I first started       posting on Usenet, now 17 years ago ─ but KNode was never fully ported       to Qt4, so it still has dependencies on Qt3, and with Qt5 now being       mainstream and even Qt4 no longer being maintained, the KNode developer       has lost interest in the project.              By consequence, KNode is now effectively broken. Most distributions       with an up-to-date Plasma desktop no longer offer KNode in their       repositories. This is one of the reasons why I'm still sticking to       Plasma 4 for now.              Another crying shame. :-/              --       With respect,       = Aragorn =              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
