   I know, writing bugzillas is a chore, and there is no warranty of   
   results. But it is the only thing you can do to correct a situation, if   
   it is correctable.

   Well, I don't use Plasma, I use XFCE. I can't really say, but many   
   people do use it.   
      
   Actually, I have several desktops installed: gnome, plasma, whatever.   
   Nothing says you can install only one.

   I'll give you another one: use that partition to test the new release   
   (will be 14.0 or 14.1, I don't remember), while it is still in the test   
   phase. If you see problems, report them. Not here, it is useless: there   
   are too few of us here. Use the mail lists, or the forum if that suits   
   you better. Then bugzilla after the comments.   
      
   That way, there is some chance that the problem can be corrected before   
   the release.
