|    make command in Suse 15 seems flaky    |

I have built some software package in SLE 11, SLE 12, plus quite a few       versions of RHEL, without any dramas.       But when I tried in Leap 15, make seems to get gastric reflux.       It does execute the rules and recipes, but then also tries to compile       fubar.c, where fubar is the target name. Since no such file exists,       the make process ends prematurely.       The only workaround is to use make -k option.       So if make all consists of step1 step2 step3, you have to break it down:       make -k step1       make -k step2       make -k step3              If I used make -d option for diagnostics, it curiously reports that it       must remake the target.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
