   Not running a proprietary GPU driver, eg nvidia, it seems to be having   
   issues? If so, then stick with the 4.18.15 kernel....   
      
   Set the default to multi-user.target then isolate graphical.target   
      
   systemctl set-default multi-user.target   
   systemctl reboot   
      
   login, switch to root user   
      
   systemctl isolate graphical.target
