   The first thing I noticed is that the ubuntu has a much newer kernel, built   
   with   
   newer software.  Second was that the source for the module was different.  I   
   was   
   going to see if there was a tumbleweed that had a kernel anywhere close, but   
   didn't see an easy way to check.
