   ok, thanks - now I've had time to play around with this a little.   
   I reduced the wait time from 8 seconds to 7, thought about it a bit and   
   deactivated "secure boot support".  Probe foreign OS was activated all along.   
   It works at present, now I have to see if it stays that way.
