   Yes, as of kernel 5.1, the NVIDIA 340 driver is broken.  All   
   distributions are having to deal with that issue, and NVIDIA has   
   already announced that the 340 driver will be phased out later   
   this year.   
      
   I'm glad I have an Intel GPU. ;)
