From: kant@have.it              I guess at this point I can confess my ignorance. In the past I never paid       much       attention to all the brouhaha surrounding NVIDIA, never thinking I'd own one.       I'm not a gamer and don't require that much fancy video, occasionally I'll fire       off VLC to watch a *.avi file (later I'll start asking about Blu-ray support,       but that's later). However, I do run BOINC, 24X7X365 100% CPU and it's the       main       reason I bought this machine, so GPU support is nice.              I have a NVIDIA GP108 [GeForce GT 1030] in this AMD computer.              My questions are:       Should I pop it out and take it to the local used computer shop and try and       trade it in for something more generic? Or will there be a way to make it work       with the upcoming patches?              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
