Something I noticed recently while looking at the "kernel problem?" error, a   
   bug which was either introduced in 15.1 or inherited from 15.0 - both systems   
   where I have seen it are recent upgrades between those two levels.   
      
   YaST -> System -> Boot Loader.  Click on "Kernel parameters" at the top and   
   then look at the "Optional Kernel Command Line Parameter".   
   In both cases this value is ridiculously long with the values repeating   
   several times.  I have removed the duplicate entries and rebooted without any   
   ill effect, I'll check things again next week before and after the new kernel   
   arrives.
