   So do many other utilities.  Are you suggesting that any cross-platform   
   software is off-limits, and the only acceptable topics are the kernel and   
   Linux-only utilities?  That would make for a desolate newsgroup.

   If a problem exists with the Linux version of any software, it's on-topic   
   in a Linux group, if for no other reason than giving users a heads-up.
