   With the new and improved sudo, there is no reason to edit those files.   
   You just create a file in /etc/sudoers.d with just the directives   
   to do what you want.   
      
   For example I have   
       # ls -Al /etc/sudoers.d   
       total 8   
       -rw-r----- 1 root root 303 Jun 29 08:38 xx__a_general   
       -rw-r----- 1 root root 270 Jun 29 08:38 xx__bittwister   
      
   xx__a_general has basic ip range protection, and xx__bittwister   
   has directives which only bittwister need.
