   That was the last line in the file.  It stopped at the ?   
   I opened the file with vi, as root, went to that line and using "o" created a   
   line below it, empty that it was.   
      
   I still got the message:>> sudo: parse error in /etc/sudoers near line 79   
   >> sudo: no valid sudoers sources found, quitting   
   >> sudo: unable to initialize policy plugin   
      
   Dunno, I'm leaving town in the morning.  I'll mess with it when I get back.  I   
   can always do a "su -" and type madly from there.  I basically use sudo out of   
   laziness.  I was raised doing command-line things, gui came later, after I did   
   enough command-line things to get a gui running.
