   Having compared a system which worked with one which did not, option 2   
   (deinstallation of icewm-config-upstream-1.4.2-lp151.8.3.1.noarch) was   
   the way to go.  I'm not sure why it was installed on this machine but it   
   has been through one or two updated from previous levels of Leap.
