   I tried the "update" method being the lazy soul that I am and it almost   
   worked except for the network drivers and the video drivers.   
      
   So back to the normal way of installing, format the / disk but leave the   
   /home disk unformatted.I have 2 physical disks in my desktop machine,   
   / 128 Gb SSD and 1Tb of spinning rust.   
      
   All now working as before but on 15.2.   
      
   Manually removed the software I don't use and added the non standard   
   software that I do.   
      
   The only problem was Zoom which I only use because my wife uses it but a   
   reinstall fixed even that.   
      
   So all working including the Nvidia video card which for the record is   
   with the libdrm_nouveau2 driver NVIDIA Corporation GP108 [GeForce GT 1030]   
      
   I used bleachbit to remove all the other language packs  as being the   
   typical Englishman I only speak  English ,saves just over 1 gb of disk   
   space.   
      
   I have been doing that for years and it does not break anything   
      
   Back to watching it rain !!
