A week ago I would have readily agreed. But it's consistently working during
the install process, something I've done 4 or 5 times in the last couple of
days. I only started doing these installs after a kernel upgrade when the
network stopped working. So I decided to do a fresh, complete, install to try
and resolve it. In the install process it downloads and installs at least 32
packages from the repositories. Does the reboot when it's complete, and the
   network won't work.
