   Just have an external hard disk, and in YaST format it as encrypted.   
   That's all you need.   
      
   If you do it as btrfs, then you can also compress it.   
      
   Only be careful to comment out the line on fstab, or the system will   
   want it on every boot.   
      
   To use it, just plug it in on an openSUSE system. You will get a prompt   
   for the password. It will be mounted transparently.
