   Calamus sounds interesting though apparently discontinued. I have done   
   quite a lot of typesetting and publishing but I program what I want   
   directly in PostScript. (Which is actually quite easy once you have your   
   brain removed and reinstalled turned around so the RPN syntax makes sense.)   
      
   Have you looked at Scibus on Linux? I looked at it one time, but I have   
   generally moved away from publishing/typesetting applications lately.
