I'm using the graphic interface when YAST says, "x Number of Updates," I
choose install updates. The Lock I'm using is also under "Yast Software"

Your "cat /etc/zypp/locks" yields nothing - shows me no REAL locks.

I tried what Malcolm advised as superuser: zypper al dosbox
   This worked!
In trying to understand the MAN page on Zypper please define the "al" for
   me
   Thanks in Advance,
