   No issues here with GNOME and iPhone, mounts Documents and Photos as   
   two folders..   
      
   You can always run the python built in web server with the files your   
   wanting in for example ~/Public and browse to for example   
   http://localhost:18080   
      
   cd ~/Public   
   /usr/bin/python3 -m http.server 18080
