   I solved this by doing the path conversion in a one-line shell script,   
   so the feh command line now reads ...   
      
   feh -Fdr -A '/home/Family\ History/_all/FHCopyIn.sh %F' 'Family   
   History/_all/1o'   
      
   ... while the one-line shell script reads ...   
      
   cp -a "$1" "$(echo $1 | sed -E '{ s~/_all/[1-5][ont]{1,2}~~ ; s~
