   Of all of the desktops, my least fave is Gnome.  Recently the Fedora   
   people were considering departing the Gnome 'flagship' DE in favor of   
   KDE which idea I applauded, since Gnome is the 800# gorilla flagship for   
   so many distro/s.   
      
   Apparently that idea fell flat.  It is not a big deal, because there is   
   a Fedora KDE alternative .iso anyway, but presumably the old Gnome/KDE   
   rivalry arose in the Fedora camp.   
      
   The DE which saw the printer so nicely happened to be Gnome, but I have   
   its companion KDE version on the same Ventoy stick that I'll check out   
   later.
