That feature appeared in openSUSE some few years ago, but users
complained to have it removed (basically it takes some time to run,
checking servers online; if you simply made a typo, it is a waste of
time; and there are machines kept without internet intentionally,
   causing a useless delay).

So now this is what happens now:

   cer@Telcontar:~> ppp
If 'ppp' is not a typo you can use command-not-found to lookup the
package that contains it, like this:
        cnf ppp
   cer@Telcontar:~>

cnf is "command not found", and running the suggested combo finds where
the package is and prints the command to install it. Or if it is already
   installed.
