Since the main two things I need were the ability to set       the time and sticky keys, I can get sticky keys from installing xkbset       and I can set the tz w/ timedatectl set-timezone.              Sparky default already has xkbset. Unfortunately the 'conventional'       concept of 'persistence' is operative here, which is not the type I       want. That weak persistence just provides a partition to park something       like data, instead of persisting anything that has to do w/ the system.              The best kinds of persistence for my purposes is the types of       persistence which are generated by mkusb, puppy, or MX linux. This data       space is useless for my purposes. Since mkusb can be used w/ Debian, my       next strategy now that Sparky usb imaging persistence and Rufus usb       persistence have both failed is mkusb.                            --       Mike Easter              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
