   Their forum seems singularly unable to help anyone.   
      
   I would switch to another distro.   
      
   Do an "ldd" on the executable and see what the dependencies are,   
   or use the package manager to determine it. Maybe you can get some   
   ideas why it is broken that way.   
      
   Another option, would be setting up Arch, and see how the parent   
   distro fares in the same test case.   
      
   If this is geomview, I don't think that does anything   
   unless a second program drives the geometry to it. Consequently,   
   a tree herder may not be testing that geomview runs without   
   crashing (because they need a second program to get it to work).
