|    X11 beep default volume?    |

From: suzyw0ng@outlook.com              I had a user complaining about a program chiming when he clicked the       mouse on a graph. I couldn't reproduce this apparent bug.       It is an X11/Motif program, and they require Num Lock off to do any       mouse picking. Now I did the command       xset b 99       to turn on beeps when clicking. So I ran the program with Num Lock on       and now got beeps. The user was running Ubuntu. I have mostly used       Centos and a few other distros, and never noticed any beep before.       So I presume the default was beeps off except for Ubuntu?              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
