   You[1] *could* open up an  HDD, throw away the guts, and install a circuit   
   board with all the ICs that comprise an SDD.  It would be a lot of work   
   and the cost of the parts would exceed the cost of an SSD.   
      
   [1]  I could, but I wouldn't.  I rather doubt that you have the   
   necessary skills.
