   First I will try downloading the Xfce file from a different mirror so as   
   to compare the downloaded files.   
      
   I also tried the DVD in my Windows machine and can see it as drive E:   
      
   E:\casper contains 6 files including initrd.lz   
   This appears to be a compressed file containing the file:   
   kernel\x86\microcode\AuthenticAMD.bin at 76166 bytes   
   Does this explain  "No working init found" ?   
      
   Is it possible that this .iso is incompatible with my hardware?   
      
   Is the 1GB RAM a fatal limitation?
