|    Q. My computer pretends there's no mouse    |

From: johnmonkeyremo@veearthlink.net              I have Windows 95 and my mouse started moving around and       right-clicking on its own. My keyboard worked normally, so       I shut down. Now my Windows is pretending that I don't have       a mouse. I've unplugged it, plugged in a different one,       messed around with the control panel and with deleting it in       the Device Manager.              In the Mouse settings in the Control Panel, I have nothing       to select under "Select your mouse" and both buttons are on       click (not click and right-click). I have selected a       "Standard PS/2 Port Mouse" which stays set to a Microsoft       PS/2 IntelliMouse Explorer, although I have tried setting it       to a standard mouse. When I try to close the mouse       properties, it says "IntelliPoint is able to save your       settings for the current Windows session only."              In a word - Help!              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
