   Can you set time and date in BIOS setup,   
   save settings, boot the operating system,   
   and see if correct date and time show.   
      
   If not, shutdown to power-off state, then   
   start, reenter BIOS setup, and see if   
   correct date and time show. Failure here   
   would suggest a bad or wrong battery.
