   Dave: If I read you correctly (assuming 95 is like 98,it often is) you   
   might want to find the "startup menu" and set it to defaults.   
      
   Sounds like somehow an analytical selection has been turned on in the   
   startup sequence.   
      
   I don't know much about this stuff, but I have had these problems before,   
   similar that is.   
      
   I checked and there is a startup tab in system configuration in system info.   
   That is NOT the one. There is another one somewhere that is the boot   
   sequence or something like that. It has a default setting tab.   
      
   I have seen my old 95 and this 98 set itself to weird settings all of a   
   sudden. No telling why. This sort of thing stopped when I downloaded   
   Spybot.
