XPost: alt.windows95, comp.os.ms-windows.setup.win95, comp.os.ms       windows.win95.setup       XPost: microsoft.public.win95       From: sunclad@sunclad.com              Can someone tell me if the file "Wupdater" an EXE type, is associated       with Windows 95 or MS Office?              I have run into a problem at boot (cold and warm) where this file       seems to be hanging and preventing files from launching.              I use CTRL-ALT-DEL when the mouse pointer gets stuck afterbook on the       hour glass and themessage on the screen says that Wupdater is not       responsing.              This file appears to be in              C:\Program files>Common Files>updater\wupdater.exe              Once I CTRL-ALT-DEL and use END TASK, I can then usually proceed.              The "updater" folder has "delupdat" and "sui" as additional files. I       thought the "delupdat" might be an uninstaller but that is also not       responsing.              This is a new problem.              We do not have an up to date anti-virus but have been very careful of       where we go on the net and where we click.              DMK              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
