   A while back I bought a Sony CD-R/RW 24x10x40 and it worked fine   
   in a Win95B machine.  And this despite the fact that the box said that   
   it required Win98 and higher.   
      
   I had to look for drivers - CDExtreme, CDExtreme Update and the   
   pXengine - and the software was fairly user friendly.  Do a search   
   and you might still be able to find these drivers.
