Windows Media Player 6.4 problem

   I installed Windows Media Player 6.4, but it was a french version, and   
   I uninstalled it, but now I found the english version, and wmp 6.4   
   always gives me an error 'missing export in msdxm.ocx'.   
      
   What can I do besides reinstall windows?
