   It seems unlikely. The problem with the old monitor was the color would switch   
   back and   
   forth between everything being purple and looking the way it should look. It   
   also had dark   
   horizontal lines, not the kind that all aperture grille monitors have. The new   
   monitor has   
   nothing like that. Also a knowledgable person here and some other people have   
   told me that   
   these are symptoms of an old monitor that's on the way out.

   I tried the next higher resolution, 1024x768. There was no improvement.

   The advanced button doesn't show me a tab for color admustment and the tabs   
   don't have   
   anything on them for adjusting color.

   I have the color set to 32 bits. I tried the 16 bit color and it does not help.
