|    Hard Drive Crach and Windows 95    |
|    19 Sep 05 12:31:27    |
From: fjv@yahoo.com              After Hard Drive crash, and installation of another used one (formatted and       checked by the seller), I was not able to install the software. Bios       indicated that hard drive was installed, but It would not go past "Floppy       A: Installed."       Right after that , I was getting different error messages, based on what       floppy disk I would use.       When I used original Microsoft Boot Disk, and coupe other start up floppies       I got: "Disk I/O error, Replace the disk and then press any key."       When I used new boot floppy for W95B just downloaded from Bootdisk.com, I       got: either "Disk Error or Remove disks or other media. Press any key to       restart."       Any clue why? Is it the new hard drive bad floppies or what?              Please let me know. Thanks              Frank              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
