I had some blue screens yesterday due to program conflicts. I had a
blue screen while I was downloading email in Eudora. Then it said that
it couldn't read the data in the inbox. so I deleted the 20mb inbox.

Later after I ran chkdsk and cleared the error messages. I tried to do
a restore to get my inbox back. I only went back to the 29th. It
refuses to do it. I tried yesterday and it refused. The same thing
happened to me in December when I lost a Filemaker database by
   accident.

I have tried to restore about 25 times over the last 30 day with 0
success. It worked this time last year, and I believe it worked last
summer, but it is kaput now.

I have more than 20GB on my "C" drive and over 15GB on my "D" drive.

My computer is a Dell XPS T-600MH with 384mb of ram

Why is this program so dicey?

Are their any other programs that do the same thing in a much more
   reliable manner?

I've finally given up on this thing. It is a very sad program. it is
supposed to be a safety net for people, but how can it do that if it
   fails 100% of the time?

I'm running ZoneAlarm suite 7.0, spysweeper 5.2, AVG 7.5, and Kerio
personal firewall all together. At least i did until i started getting
the blue screens. Now I've uninstalled everything but Zonealarm 7.0.
I tried to get it to do a spyware sweep this morning, and it ran for
about 30 minutes, but never showed any files being looked at. The
counter stayed at 0 and then it finally slowed down and stalled the
computer. I uninstalled Spysweeper and AVG deciding to let Zonealarm
do everything. right now it has been doing antivirus checking, but it
ran for 25 hours the other day and them hung the system

could it be that this software is to modern for my Dell XPS T-600?

Anyway being able to restore would be an incredible help to me.

   Peace
