   I had a lock up during a clone of 40 gig to new 250 and believe it or   
   not the thing is still working.......somewhat. The particulars are   
   amazing but  too lengthy for this post.   
      
   After many hours getting the internet back up under gunpoint from my   
   Wife who has online classes, I noted that USB has conflicts and no USB   
   connectivity.   
      
   Have XP w/Sp1   
   ASUS P4B533-E   
   onboard USB   
   and Adaptec USB 2 connect.   
      
   There lies the issue.   
      
   When at first start up all the USB entries show conflicts through all   
   devices in Device Manager.   
      
   Then if I uninstall them all (8) then restart, they are all without   
   conflicts but periphs do not operate properly.   
      
   Then after shtting down after use and restart it all begins again.   
      
   How can I uninstall the USB drivers permanently then reinstall them   
   properly?   
      
   ANYONE?
