   yes, by all means, give linux a whirl. I too got fed up with windows and   
   made the switch a few years ago. I'll never go back!   
   Mandriva is a good distro for everyday use, its free to download.   
   Developers like you are a welcome addition to the Linux community,   
   join us and build some nifty stuff for Linux
