From: mike.swift@yeton.co.uk              Years ago when I had an Amstrad 6128 I wrote a basic program to track my       accounts, it was a virtual envelopes in a tin job for gas, electric etc.              When I got a 386 16 I reworked it in QB45, it's served me well for 15       years without a problem.              I ran it today and it was taking ages to recognise key strokes, I could       enter text, numbers etc and it would do as told but many seconds later       so the information was going into the buffer.              I still have a copy of QB45 so ran that and tried to write a short basic       program and had the same slow recognition of input.              I'm posting in the hope there are still some people in here who       understand DOS and could tell me what's happening as I would miss my       little program.              Regards.       Mike              --       Michael Swift We do not regard Englishmen as foreigners.       Kirkheaton We look on them only as rather mad Norwegians.       Yorkshire Halvard Lange              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
