|    Sharp Laptop Crash - Has anyone any idea    |
|    16 Oct 07 19:33:54    |
From: phi_1.618033989@yahoo.co.uk              The Sharp laptop PC-GP2520 running XP Pro on a toshiba MK6021GAS 60GB hard       drive took a nosedive a couple of days ago. I have tried to recover the two       partitions with an assortment of recovery software, some apps see the drive       others will not. The listed fault as shown by Spinrite, is that the bios       extension shows the drive to be smaller than the partition.       Windows XP setup gets as far as allowing me to select or delete the       partitions but stops me from deleting them. (rambles on about the partition       contains system files) Incidentally the partitions have a colon in front but       no drive letter. Fdisk will not allow deleting either, so I am stuck.              Has anyone got any thoughts on the subject.              Many thanks in anticipation              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
