From: jspamno@lineone.net              Hello              I have a 4 year old Pentium 4 machine with XP home and 1.5Gb of RAM.              I use Photoshop CS3 a lot and find the machine is a bit slow at things like       opening RAW files. (It really slows down when I have a couple of extra       programs open along with CS3). I have two ways forward.              1. Buy a new (dual core 3Gb) machine for about 350 UKpounds - these come       from Dell with Vista in them. I've read that Vista is a bit bloated.              2. Upgrade my RAM to 3Gb for 50UKP.              So, will the cheaper option give me a burst of speed, or do I need to buy a       machine with a faster processor?              Regards              John              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
